What is your favorite thing about being a makeup artist?

I always loved watching montage scenes in movies, and I found in my early teens that my favorite part of going anywhere was the act of getting ready with my friends. Getting to be there for other people's "getting ready" time gives me so much energy - I cherish the privilege of letting you sit back and relax and helping you get ready for all your big events - weddings, shoots, prom, whatever! 

Current favorite product/s?

An all time favorite, desert-island product for me and for my kit is Essence pure nude highlighter in "be my highlight." I use it lightly as an all-over glow, and it's so subtle and effortless and melts in better than anything else I've ever tried - but it's under $5! I will always love Nars blushes, MAC Face and Body will always have a special place in my heart, and I just keep coming back to Glossier's boy brow. 

What era inspires you most?

This is tough. Every era of makeup around the world has led us to where we are now, and those influences have brought us the best products history has ever known and a greater, deeper appreciation for all kinds of beauty, which is the thing that inspires me. 

Whats your ideal day off?

A long workout, a walk with my dog, a big cup of coffee on a warm porch with my fiance. Relaxing in warm weather during the day, and a movie/spaghetti situation at night. A clean house and freshly washed and folded laundry to top it off.
